These kilns operate with our condensation system, this means that the warm, humid air in the dry kiln will be cooled sharply. In this way, the air cannot longer contain the same amount of water as before. The water from the air will condensate and removed from the dry kiln.
Our condensation dryers work as a heat pump. The total cooling capacity and the electrical power consumption of the compressor will be transferred into heat in the condenser coil. This heat will be transferred to the dry kiln which will give a considerable energy saving.
Principle
The air in the kiln is circulated through the stacked timber by fans and the air is slowly heated. In this way, the air will take water from the slowly heated timber. Depending on the type of timber and pre-set temperature and relative humidity, the condensation dryer is started. The warm moist air will be sucked through a cooler coil and cooled sharply. In this condition, the air cannot hold the same amount of water as in the warm condition. The water in the air will condensate and become liquid and this water will be removed to the outside of the kiln.
All our heat pump condensation units are ready for immediate use. The electrical parts and safety controls etc. are built in a water resistant control box.
