Air handling unit

An air handling unit is usually mounted on the roof and is used for cooling, heating and drying of the air. The unit can be operated with a direct expansion refrigeration system or connected to a cold water unit (chiller).

An air handling unit can consist of

  • Cooling coils
  • Heater coils
  • Air filters
  • Exhaust system
  • Dehumidification rotor
  • Air valves
  • Fans
  • Humidifiers (steam or water)
  • Dryers
