Our heat pump condensation dry kilns work on the so-called condensation system. This involves sudden and very fast cooling. The air cannot longer hold the same amount of water as under hot conditions. The condensate will be discharged outside the kiln.
Our dehumidifiers work as a heat pump. The total cooling capacity and the consumed electrical power is converted into heat which is given to the dry kiln. Compared with a conventional drying system, the result is a significant reduction in energy consumption.
Principle
The air in the kiln is heated and circulated through the stacked timber by fans. The air constantly absorbs moisture from the product.
When reaching a temperature of at least 30°C and the desired humidity, the dehumidification process starts. The wet, warm air will be passed through a cooling coil where it is cooled. The air cannot contain the same amount of water as when it was warm and will therefore condensate. All condensate will be discharged outside the kiln. Each heat pump dehumidifier is ready for immediate use. The necessary electrical and safety controls are built in a water resistant control box.
